Let Dogs Play a Bigger Part in Your Life
Wendy Dek has been a dog trainer, horse trainer and veterinary technician in Australia since 1976. After moving to Dallas, she started her own Canine Advanced Training Services in 2003. Her greatest challenge was establishing a name in a new community.
I treat all of my clients as though they are the only client I have and treat their pets as though they are my own dogs. Many of my clients have become my very close and personal friends, and I treasure every one of them.
Among the many successful projects she can recall was helping a completely shut-down rescue dog, to an amazingly confident dog and, of course, her adopted dog, Lucky, who won her second place in the first Extreme Mutt Makeover (Fort Worth) in 2009. Wendy has also worked as a field trainer for "Paw with a Cause", a nonprofit organization that trains service dogs for people with a wide range of disabilities.
All of my training techniques are based on behavioral science and are 100% force free, which opens up the line of communication between dog and human and fosters a deeper understanding of each other. This technique likewise develops a relationship that is built on mutual love, trust and respect. It's simple, easy to understand, and the dogs respond quickly.
Wendy says a well-trained dog is a pleasure to own, and they can be a bigger part of your life - they have more opportunities to go places with you because you know they are not going to be an embarrassment to you or a nuisance to anybody else.
