Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.
A. Throughout college I was an track and field athlete. I also taught group exercise classes at my university's recreation center. After graduating I landed a internship with an prestigious company as an health fitness specialist. The internship was for nearly 6 months. As a intern I developed personal exercise programs to the corporations' employees, taught exercise programs, conducted over 200 fitness assessments and assisted the sports coordinator in running a succesful recreational program. After my internship I moved on to bigger and better things. I currently do physical assessements for American Airlines as an exercise physiologist. I've tested over 200+ candidates (flight attendants and fleet crew) from across the globe. There is only one physical assesement location in the United States for American Airlines and that is where I work. .
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Show up to your appointment early or on time. You expect me to be punctual, so I will do the same. I give rewards for being on time. If you can't make your session on time -- contact me as soon as soon as possible! Be respectful. ;)
Never be afraid to ask questions. I love questions.
Wear the proper attire. When you wear the proper attire you are able to feel comfortable throughout your sessions. Wear shoes with good grip and that are also supportive. Wear clothing that is suitable to the current season. I'd hate to see one of you guys pass out.
Diminish your fear of telling me "I can't do this". If you are doing a particular exercise and for whatever reason you are unable to carry it out successfully. Let me know. I'm a trained professional. I know alternative exercises. This will also help prevent injury and allow you to have an successful exercise program.
