I am a young male marketing professional, but have been a bartender for several years. I currently do private events on the side. I specialize in cocktail parties, and birthday parties, but have experience in larger banquet settings as well.
I charge a flat fee of $100 for each four (4) hour event. I will come a bit early and stay a little later to help with clean up. This price does not include gratuity from you unless you feel more generous at the beginning and we can negotiate (this usually isn't for first time customers). I do expect tips from the host, or the guests should they wish to tip, that is totally up to them. I just wanted to clarify how it generally works when you hire a personal bartender. If you want me to charge you less, then we can negotiate a smaller fee and I get to put a tip jar out. Trust me, this does not offend guests as it is common to see at most all functions when all that is being served is your choice of beer, red wine or white wine.
If you would like me to provide services for a larger banquet (more than 25-50 people) I can bring two other bartenders/servers with me. I have two great female bartenders who have worked with me on larger events in the past, and do a great job. Price is negotiated on number of guests, and services offered. For instance, food service, or cocktail snacks would be extra.
When you respond to this add remember that my rate is negotiable depending on the following:
*If you expect me to serve only beer or wine
*If you expect me to serve mixed drinks (a specialty cocktail is pretty standard and I don't mind working with one on a volume basis free of charge)
*If you are trying to factor a blender into the deal for frozen anything, etc. (which most bartenders loathe...just fyi)
*If you have all the necessary devices I will need to make a decent mixed drink and decent bar area with running water or access to it.
*How big of a function it is (number of people you wish for me to bartend for)
Please keep in mind that if you want me to provide you with a full service drink variety, then you need to have the necessary mixes and items for me to provide these beverages, which we can discuss and I can make suggestions. (If I have to bring my own bartending tools, please advise as well...I do not provide a blender, but do have most of the other necessary equipment.)
I have references upon request, so give me a call and lets discuss your next event. Also, if you retain my services and refer me to friends I offer you a refer-a-friend bonus!
