I perform and teach classical guitar. I taught in the DCCCD for 25 years and at the University of Dallas for several years. I enjoy teaching all levels including beginners. I encounter a new group of beginners every semester in my Beginning Guitar Class at Northlake College which was a great training ground for helping students start off with the best physical and artistic approach to the guitar.

I've also taught hundreds of students who were already playing, but wished to add classical guitar to their other interests. I'm currently the Artistic Director of the Fort Worth Classic Guitar Society and the Allegro Guitar Society of Dallas.

In addition to private lessons, I teach the Allegro Guitar Camp (open to all levels) the 2nd Saturday of each month at my offices in Grapevine, TX (videos at YouTube).

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I an not very interested in exercises and scales. Most of the materials you need for technical and musical progress are found in the music.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I enjoy helping people play better and enjoy the process of learning.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How long will it take to learn to play the guitar. My answer is always, "It doesn't matter as long as you are enjoying the process of learning. Also, you can learn to play better and sooner if you practice a little every day rather than practicing for hours one day every now and then. There few things more important than regular, daily playing to reinforce your progress.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. The fee quoted is for private lessons at my home or studio. The Allegro Guitar Camp is $50 for a four hour class. (Ask about student discounts)

Performance fees are available upon request. Although I mostly play concerts, I enjoy playing weddings and appropriate events.
