I am a TREC licensed real estate inspector. I have prior 25 years of experience in the home repair services.

This makes me a better home inspector because I know specifically what deficiencies I should be looking for to better serve the home buyer.

The more important information I provide, the easier the decision making process will be for the buyer.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Ask plenty of questions and listen carefully to the answers. You have to have a feeling that the person on the phone or on the internet will be there for you 100%. Check out their websites which will give you a better idea of who you will be working with. In their websites, check out their credentials, licenses, certifications, and educational backgrounds.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I always give the client a true and honest sense that I am their to help them in any way I can, now and in the future. Trust is what comes at the end of the job. So much so that they will refer me to others.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Helping first time hombuyers ease the pain of the final decision making process to buy or not to buy.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I ran a home repair service for 20 years but then decided to sell in order to move from south Texas to north Texas. I did not want to continue this work. I found out about home inspections. Since I already had the working background knowledge of how a house works, home inspections was a natural leap.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Continuing education is a daily job that is just as enjoyable. I have countless, books and periodicals. The internet of course is the greatest source of educational material. I am a member of several professional organizations that offer numerous educational forums. I am always striving for additional classes that offer specialty certifications.
