I am very patient and loving caregiver with special needs experience. I have attained college education and am in an ongoing self-study in pediatric nursing.
I have been a professional nanny for about 2 years now. I had been with a family with five children for approximately 18 months, but they have since moved out of state shortly. My duties served as an attendant for the eldest, age 14, with multiple special needs. I assisted him daily with multiple therapies and activities, as well as feed and change him.
Because of my work with him, I was a certified pediatric attendant through Angels of Care, whom I no longer work for. For the three middle boys, ages 4, 8 and 11, I helped them with home-schooling mainly as their art teacher, as well as with their daily activities and meals.
I also help the mother with the baby with anything she may need. I do all light housework and the laundry, and run all of the family's errands. I have become a part of this family through my time and dedication as their nanny and attendant, and am looking to have the same relationship with a new one.
I take much pride in this career. I want to help a child grow like a second mother does. I am very well educated and could help children with all aspects of learning and development. I take child care very seriously like they were my own.
I am always upbeat and can explain things to children so they can understand them. I am very kind and sweet, and I adore children. I am very athletic and love outdoor activities.
Back home in N.Y., I was the designated baby sitter to most friends who had children. I helped with the care of my godson from birth to 4 years of age. I spend my free time creating activity and lesson plans, along with reading pediatric nursing books. I have not always been a nanny/attendant. I went to college for painting and art history, and I incorporate that into my work as well.
I currently have availability from sunrise to 1 p.m. and then after 9 p.m., and weekends are completely open and am located in Farmers Branch, Dallas but close to all major highways.
