One day I had a small project of replacing a kitchen faucet, that turned quickly into a nightmare of a gushing water leak from the supply lines under the sink. What had happened was, I went under the sink to shut off the water, and the connector to the ice maker was loose. When I tried to tighten the connector it broke, and that's when my kitchen was about to be flooded. due to the fact that the connector was installed before the cutoff valve. So while I lay under the sink trying to manually hold the connector in place, my wife had to make a call. This was on a Saturday of course. We new this was a job for "The Fixxer". So we called and he came out, first he had to cut off the water valve so our kitchen wouldn't flood, then he put a professional style connector on with a dual valve and cut-off so we don't have that same problem again. He also connected the ice maker line that had not been connected yet. and assisted in the installation of the faucet. Professional work, done at a reasonable price, in a timely manner, on a Saturday!

A. There is no common jobs with plumbing per se. Every job is unique and has its own challenges. Having said that, we work on any type of plumbing repair you can imagine. Water heater replacements, faucet repair leaks under ground or in walls, slab leaks, drain stoppages, remodels of kitchens and bathrooms. The list is endless.
A. My advice is to start a relationship with a plumber you trust on a small issue now that way when you have a big issue in the future, you already have a foundation of trust.
A. We are plumbers that are skilled in what we do. I think that any time a person is good at what they do, they usually like what they do. We like to be the one that saves the day and can be the hero for a customer thats having a bad experience with their plumbing problems.
A. Quick Plumbing Tips and Suggestions
TOILETS-Look in the tank of your toilet. See the bolts that connect the tank to the bowl?if they are rusted or corroded you have the potential for a flood if the tank starts to leak. Also, touch the rubber parts in the tank and if you get a black residue on your finger or if the rubber is brittle and crumbling then you have the potential for leaks.
WATER HEATER-Flood prevention-First thing in the morning before the hot water is used, fill a large WHITE bowl with hot water. If you see rusty orange or brown colored water, chances are good that your water heater tank is compromised and will soon fail, this is a situation that should be remedied quickly, before the tank begins to leak.
EMERGENCY WATER SHUTOFFS-Make sure that you know where your emergency shutoff valves are and that you know how to work with them.Make sure that they function properly. If you don't know how to turn your water off in an emergency this could lead to costly damages to your home in the event of a flood. Call us now and schedule an appointment and we can show you how to turn your water off or we can replace your old corroded shutoffs with new ones that are easier to operate. This is important to do BEFORE an emergency.
STOPPAGES- Some things just are not good to flush down your toilet. Basically if you can hold the item under a stream of water and it dissolves then it is OK to flush. However, it is common for some to flush "baby wipe" type items. These items do not dissolve and have a tendency to get caught on the irregular surfaces inside the drain pipes. They stay there for a long time until they build up more and more and eventually cause a stoppage.
GARBAGE DISPOSAL-Look inside your garbage disposal. If you see rust inside, then you have the potential for a stoppage in your sink. What happens-The slingers inside need to move freely, in order to grind the food up against the side walls of the disposal. If they can't move freely then it will not completely grind up the food, and the food particles that go down the drain will be too big and may buildup and cause a drain stoppage.
