Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We are very versatile and do many different and unique types of repairs and roofing/water-proofing jobs. The most common work is roofing repairs on residential and commercial roofs. We do however special above grade and below grade water-proofing jobs on occasion, and this really separates us from the normal roofing contractors. It takes many many years to learn these water-proofing techniques and we're proud to say that we can accomplish just about any roofing or water-proofing task. We take pride in our work no matter how small or large the project. The next time you have a difficult roofing or water-proofing project give ua a call.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Yes, getting the lowest possible bid for roofing or repairs is not like shopping for a pair of socks. Price is important but getting quality workmanship out weighs any price. My advice is to make sure you have a quality contractor with a good reputation in the industry. Materials very seldom fail and your roofing investment is only as good as the people that install or repair your roof. All roofs and all roofers are not created equal. ! Follow these simple rules when shopping for a roofing contractor and you will not be disappointed. Chances are you won't be taking the lowest possible bid.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We have more experience than 90% of our competitors.
Our company has been in business since 1981

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The feeling you get when the customer sends a letter of gratification and referral.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. When can you start ?

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. We attend all the manufacture seminars and our employees are required to attend any refresher classes or schools on any new systems or products. We strive to be the best and continuing education is just part of our program. The roofing industry has changed considerably in the last 10 years with all the new roof systems and products. Without the proper training, you and your employees will only succeed for a short time in this business. We encourage all our customers to check out our credentials and references online on our website. If anyone has any questions about services provided by our company then please don't hesitate to contact us.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. There have been a lot of new shingle products arise as of late by mainly the large commercial manufacturers. The commercial industry seems to be going towards single ply roofs with the white energy star rated TPO's leading the list. I believe that you will soon see more and more solar powered roof panels on both residential and commercial roofs. The manufactures of solar thin skin photovoltaics are beginning to get the cost down and we're beginning to see colleges and municipalities use solar power more and more. We want to encourage our customers to ask us about anything green from solar powered roof vents to solar roof installations. Our company is positioned to provide any of the green services so don't hesitate to contact us for green products.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Be prepared to study everything you can get your hands on concerning the roofing industry. Hands on experience is by far the best teacher but is also the most cosltly due to time. Business management and finance are also extremely critical and wouthout the proper business training you are doomed for failure. You must also be a people person because you will be dealing constantly with people everyday. If you're not a people person then you had better have deep pockets so you can hire a top notch general manager. The roofing industry has always been a tough business to compete and make a profit. With hard dedicated work and a good business plan you can succeed.
