Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Ask how long the stained glass studio has been in business, and ask if they are members of a professional guild, such as the Stained Glass Association of America.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Repairing a broken or bowing stained glass panel is usually preferable to replacing it. Most cracked or broken pieces can be repaired.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. How long have you been in business? Have you done this sort of job in the past? May I see photos or a website of your work?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. What dimension is the final window or panel to be? Do you have a specific subject matter or theme in mind? What is the purpose of having stained glass in this particular space (i.e. privacy? beautify an ugly view? spiritual?)
