Question and answer

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. You do not need a license to bartend in Texas. A TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commison) Certification is something everyone who serves alcohol in Texas must have. Even restaurant hostesses need them sometimes. So...it's not that big of a deal if you're "TABC Certified"

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Our company is comprised of highly skilled bartenders that are currently working in high volume bars around Dallas and Fort Worth.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Meeting new people and getting the opportunity to share with them their special day.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I was already a bartender for a high volume establishment and someone asked me to come over to their house an bartend their Christmas Party. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to create a business out of it!

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. I have much respect for bartender schools...but if you want to get into high volume restaurant or nightclub bartending, a bartender school is not the way to go. Learn by being a server or a barback and work your way up.

If being a special event bartender or hotel bartender is your goal, then a bartender school is the way to go.
