FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In the case of repairs or replacement jobs, the price will be base rate of $60 per hour minimum + cost of parts. Consumables such as basic screws, caulk, nuts and bolts are not charged for.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first key questions I will need to answer are: - Does any troubleshooting need to be done? - If no troubleshooting is necessary or has already been done, have the parts needed already been obtained? After these details have been gathered, a time will be setup.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been working in residential maintenance for 5 years. My training was done by a veteran contractor and carpenter who I assisted on the job before being sent to work on my own. During my job as a Make Ready Technician I gained experience with all kinds of basic repairs. This includes, minor sheetrock repairs, faucet and drain replacements, toilet repair and replacement, lighting installation, and furniture assembly.
