Hello.
My name is Jerry L. Summerlin. I am a professional, licensed, and insured home inspector. I am located in Haltom City, Texas. I have a company website.
Purchasing a home can be your most costly investment you ever make. With all the transaction processes of purchasing a home, it can become intimidating for first time buyers.
I like the customers at my inspections. That way you can see any problems with your own eyes. Also I call out advantages on homes.
Most inspections take around 3 hours.
My inspection area covers 5 counties including the Dallas Fort Worth area.
Call me for fair prices, friendly service, and a thorough inspection.

I had 10-12 callsand emails. I didn't expect that many. I didn't feel it was very professional to be yelled at that you paid for this service and hang up on me. I'm glad that I did not hire you.

Question and answer
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. My back ground and current work at residential properties would have to make me stand out. I was raised a plumbers son in a family of plumbing and HVAC contractors.
My first W-2 was turned in working on residential homes in 1972.
I have spent 17 years roofing on residential and commercial properties. I climb on more steep and 2 story homes than most inspectors.
At present I do handy man work of all types on residential homes.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I like to learn something new at each inspection and see all of the oddities of homes. Every home seems to have a mystery weather small or large. I like inspecting because I meet the general public and people from all over the world and all walks of life.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. The foundation, roof, structure, HVAC, plumbing and what will it cost to move in seem to be the most common questions. Home inspections in large part are safety inspections also. I always search for items that children and the elderly would have a hard time with in an emergency.
