Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Interior residential. Whole house, single room or anything in between!
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. I strive to give my customers the very best deal possible for excellence in every detail. I can't quote the price that a crew of illegals can do it for, but our quote will be substantially lower than many of the big painting companies in the Metroplex.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. How to accomplish the perfect paint job! I would want to know how a company like Blumberg Painting can do such a great job and make it look so easy, when do-it-yourself skills, tools and materials don't even come close!
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. To get a remote proposal over email or phone, I'll need the approximate square footage of the floor, ceiling height, type of texture, color, paint on it presently (flat, satin, semi-gloss), and type of texture, color, paint you want it changed to. Then just whether you want ceiling, walls or trim painted.
If you'd rather have a conventional proposal, I just need your address and the day/time you'd like me there to give you a quote.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I'm a perfectionist and work meticulously to attend to every detail. We don't close the contract until both we and the customer are 100% satisfied that the results are outstanding.
When we offer a proposal and you accept it, the price never changes unless you add or remove work from the contract. If we overlook something on the inspection, we absorb any additional costs.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Transforming people's homes. Being able to work professionally in the trade I enjoy most is truly a gift that I don't take for granted!
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Most of my business is from referrals, but from potential customers responding to my ads, here are common Q&A:
How long in business? 21 years!
References? At lease our last 5 jobs!
Do I have to be home? No!
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. Not specifically, but over the years I've learned that going the extra mile for a customer ALWAYS pays off. No job, even if I bid it too low, cannot be a valuable reference when the customer is absolutely satisfied with the job.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. That my commitment is first to my Lord Jesus, then to my customers that I will conduct business with integrity and accountability.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. 1989 was the year I gave my life to Jesus. Within a month, God had given me the vision for my painting business.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. Old world skip trowel texturing, glaze finish. Magazine quality!
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I'm constantly learning, updating skills and materials to meet new trends.
Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
A. Whole house repaint, ceilings, walls and trim. 2 weeks.
Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.
A. Nothin' complicated! Just a common sense, fair business deal.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. Get ready to give more than you can imagine to make customers happy! That's the only way to prosper in this trade, in this economy!
