Introduction: I really try to make sure that my clients personalities and individuality shines through in their pictures. Yes, some pictures are posed, but I really try to get real emotion and feeling in all images. I LOVE laughing pictures. When I edit pictures, all I can do is smile because I can feel how much love, happiness, and emotion are in the images.
My clients! I feel so honored when people contact me asking about doing a photo session or compliment my work. I truly enjoy being a photographer.

I hate having photographs taken of me. Keyword: HATE.
Despite my disdain, I wanted some Senior photos taken for a Christmas gift for my parents. I chose Ms. Brittany Black to fulfill this Herculean task and I honestly could not have been happier with my choice. She made the experience so much fun! I was laughing and smiling the whole time - which was especially amazing because I cannot do fake smiles... even a little bit.
The experience aside, I gotta talk about the photos. They came out amazing. She didn't even really need to edit anything. Her choice in perspectives and lighting were perfect. I am ecstatic at how the came out, and I know my parents will love them.
I cannot recommend Brittany enough. If you ever need pictures taken, go to her. Seriously. Do it.

I hired Brittany to take wedding photos. She was responsive, creative, and a great communicator. We had a lot of moving parts that day, so she hired a second shooter to assist. They went with the flow, ensuring the shots we wanted were taken without being intrusive. They were sweet and likeable, which translated into everyone feeling comfortable having their pictures taken. In the end we ended up with so many great shots in an easy to review format and presented in a timely manner. I would certainly recommend in the future!

Finding Brittany through thumbtack was really luck of the draw! I'm really glad it worked out the way it did, Brittany was great to work with.
This was my first professional photo experience, other than school pictures, leaned up on a plastic tree. Brittany helped make me feel comfortable by being SUPER responsive during our email interactions and by answering any and all questions that I had. I really felt like she listened.
During the shoot, my husband and I admittedly felt awkward about posing for photos, but that was no fault to Brittany - we're just a bit awkward. Brittany captured a lot of truly sweet, genuine moments that looked great.
The responsive follow up did not end at our photo session. We received our photos as promised in a prompt manner, and I'm glad she included some tips for photo preservation and storage.
Photos can be very important to some, and I've definitely learned a few things from this experience. I would definitely recommend you to consider Brittany to discuss any photography needs!

As a hobby-ist photographer Brittany had a great eye for shots of my family. She was accommodating to the bad weather and subsequently changed scheduling. Always responsive. Can't wait to see how she expands creatively and hopefully we find other opportunities to use her again in the future!
