Assist staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines. Recommend and / perform upgrades on systems to ensure longevity. Provide follow up and progress updates to the customer. Assists in maintaining LAN/WAN records and , as appropriate, telephone systems cable. Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment. Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems. Provide technical support for distributed computing functions and equipment. Provide follow up and progress updates to the customer. Assist with training for new Desktop Technicians ensuring that they are familiar with various functions, duties, documentation and personnel to minimize interruptions to the users

Recommend hiring a tech that has the experiance and that knows how to troubleshoot an issue and have the issue resolved in the shortest amount of time, to prevent any company losses from accuring.
