Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. I can any repair any kind of computer hardware or software problem you have; virus/malware removal, computer won't boot up or power on, upgrade your existing computer, or even build you a new one.
I also work on almost any kind of printer you may have: laser, inkjet, or dot-matrix.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Most viruses and malware can be eliminated with 2 free programs in addition to your anti-virus program. Malwarebytes and Superantispyware are two free programs that are great at removing malware, but it's best to have them installed before your computer is infected. They can be downloaded from malwarebytes.org and superantispyware.com. If you're looking for a free anti-virus program, I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials. It's good and it won't slow your computer down like AVG and others. It can be downloaded at microsoft.com/security_essentials.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I'm CompTIA A+ certified as well as being certified on HP and Dell products and I have over 11 years of professional experience.
Every computer gets a complete cleaning inside and out in addition to a complete tune-up and every printer gets a complete cleaning as well.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I knew that I wanted to work on computers since elementary school Repairing computers and printers has always come easy to me. Like most guys, I've always liked taking things apart to see how they work and then putting them back together. I've always been interested in computers and the latest technology.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I subscribe to several computer magazines and websites to help keep up to date on the latest advances in technology. I also keep my certifications up to date and currently working on getting a Microsoft certification.
