I'm not a nerd or a geek. I'm a certified computer and printer technician with over 12 years of professional experience. After working at places that charge a fortune for computer and printer repair, I've decided to offer my services at very reasonable rates.

Anyone can remove viruses, but not everyone can repair the damage they cause. I can remove viruses and malware without having to reformat the hard drive 99.99% of the time. I don't have any "quick fixes". Doing the job right takes several hours. Anyone offering to remove viruses and other malware in a couple of hours or less is not doing a thorough job and you'll end up having problems again.
I can also do any hardware repair or replacement such as screens, motherboards, hard drives, keyboards, and dc power jacks.
I also work on laser, inkjet, and dot-matrix printers, fax machines, and all-in-ones.

I am CompTIA A+ certified, as well as HP and Dell certified. I'm also certified on Okidata, Brother and Xerox printers. I have extensive experience on all other major brands of computers and printers such as Acer, Asus, Lenovo, Sony, Toshiba, Canon, Epson, Lexmark, Samsung, and others.

I charge a flat rate of $40 for any PC repair and $50 for any printer repair. I have no hourly rate or diagnostic fee.

    my son passed away a while back and going thru his things, i found several laptops that had some terriable viruses imbedded. joe took on the task of making silk npurses out of pigs ears. the job he did was nothing short of EXCELLENT. he did this all in a timely manner and the cost was just what he quoted. no suprises. he will have my buisness from now on and he is a great guy. as far as what he could better, well he has already thought of that. he does it right the first time

    Joe was absolutely awesome to work with! He was the first to respond to our request for a quote and his prices are the best in the DFW metroplex! we dropped off both of our computers around 5pm on Friday and they were fixed and ready to pick up the very next morning.     I'm a physician in Fort Worth whose HP LaserJet 4000 became suddenly inoperable due to a broken power switch. I scoured the internet and lucked upon Joy Gray's site. He responded almost immediately. I got my printer to his business location by around noon and he had it ready for pick-up by 5:00 p.m. the same day. His charge was incredibly reasonable. Further, he was able to replace two bad paper rollers for very little extra money. The printer's working perfectly, and I could not possibly be any happier. I recommend Mr. Gray wholeheartedly for any of your computer or printer repair needs. He is good as his word.

    Joe was able to work on my pc the same day I contacted him, he cleaned out viruses and malware, installed better free anti-virus programs. Computer is running much faster. Very polite and efficient. He did not charge me more than the original quote. I will definitely be back if I need another repair and recommend him to friends.

    My laptop would continuously reboot. It was stuck in a loop. Win 8 was messed up during an update. When he tried to fix it, he determined that the hard drive was bad. Even so, he was able to recover all of my data. He replaced the hard drive, reset it back to Win 7 as requested and reloaded all of my data. All this for one flat fee and the cost of a new hard drive for which he only charged me his cost. I'm amazed with everything he did without increasing the cost; I know he put a lot of time into this. Not only will I take all of my future computer work to him, but I also highly recommend him to anyone who needs computer or printer work done. One flat fee for whatever you need done. Incredible!

    Unfortunately, the part needed to repair the device was not available but Joe was very kind, courteous and professional. He referred us to another tech who might have been able to repair the broken part and after getting an estimate from her, opted against repairing the device. Most importantly, Joe did not charge us for the initial look-see on the laptop. He was more than fair and if we are ever in need of computer repairs again, he will be our first stop!

    Joe's PC and Printer Repair is outstanding because of three specific qualities: expertise, communication, and integrity.

    Joe has both the credentials and skills to do the repairs. He repaired my laptop in a timely manner. He immediately quoted a very fair price and the possibility of needing a part(s) which my malfunctioning computer did. He researched the exact part (a motherboard) and priced and communicated that information to me. The cost of the part included "free shipping" directly from the supplier. Free shipping (economy) is actually like parcel post, the most slowest in delivery time. Joe communicated the tracking process until the day of the part's arrival. Then he repaired my computer immediately.

    Most computers contain sensitive, valuable, and personal information belonging to the owner. Joe has integrity. The computer was repaired, and it needed to be tested. Joe made sure that the computer was fully operational. He did so without violating the privacy of the computer contents.

    I called around for quotes on my HP 4350 that kept jamming. Joe was the cheapest by far and he had it ready in just a few days since he had to order a part. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I will use him for all future printer and computer needs.

    Joe was the first to call me. My personal laptop would not allow me to save documents. Very professional, answered my calls and fixed it per flat rate (btw, other bids were almost twice as high). I was a little concerned about the turn around repair due to my graduate school studies. He offered without my asking and then loaned me a laptop at no charge while I awaited repairs.     Joe is a miracle worker! I needed a document from my crashed computer and he found it within 2 hours of having the computer.     I freaking love this service. I had reset my laptop to factory settings, which took away all of my programs including Windows. I hadn't touched my laptop for months. So I looked all over Fort Worth and found the greatest quote ($40). He had it fixed in 1 day. He also offered me internet security and other helpful programs. He is one truly amazing guy who saved this 16 year Olds Christmas.

    My HP Probook laptop was not able to connect to the wireless network. Joe replaced the wireless card, removed viruses and installed new anti-virus. The laptop now connects to the network and works very well. Joe also fixed a Dell desktop that wasn't working properly. Joe turned this around as promissed.     I called Joe at 7:00a.m. this morning 11/08/2013 an told him my computer was not working properly that the icons was not showing up as well, he told me to bring at right in, I took my computer to him and he had at ready at about 2:00p.m. the same day. i would recommend this man to anyone so please contact him if you have any computer problems he would fix at very well.

    My computer apparently had a virus that wouldn't let me access Windows 7 to do a system restore. When I realized I would need professional help, I dreaded it because I had visions of literally hundreds of dollars, as in I had paid in the past when I had viruses with the repairmen telling me that the only way to get rid of viruses was to wipe off the hard drive and lose all your pictures, documents, etc. As a new grandparent and retired paralegal with loads of documents on my computer, that wasn't an option for me. I stumbled upon Joe's ad which seemed too good to be true. I called him, told him what was going on and he said he could fix the problem without reformatting the hard drive -and for $40! I took the computer to him yesterday and he called me at the end of the day saying it was ready. I picked it up this morning and it's working like a champ - and for the agreed upon price.     Took in my desktop pc on a Friday for not wanting to boot up. Said he would have it ready by Saturday. He wasn't kidding! Approx. 9:30am Saturday morning he called & it was fixed! I plugged it up on Sunday, had 1 minour glitch ... gave him a call, and a 5 minute phone call had my pc going again. Its been flying since! Definitely recommend him, and will use him again as I have a 2nd pc in need of repair!

    I thought I had a virus on my laptop. I dropped it off at 9 am, it was ready at 5 pm the same day. Everything worked great and computer was faster. He even told me I did not have a virus, but a damaged video card. $40 well spent. I would recommend to anyone.

    I had a lap top that wouldn't power and and a lap top that would not boot up properly (it was stuck in a loop). Joe repaired both of them for 40.00... I had other offers for 100.00 and 75.00..ouch.. He repaired them both within 1 day!!! Awesome job.. From now on if I have any issues with computers or printers, Joe is the guy to call. Quick..reasonable...professional...knowledgeable.. What more could you ask for.. If anyone our there is looking for a great repair guy, he is the one to call!!!

    I took my HP 4200 to Joe's for paper jam erros even though there was no paper anywhere that I could see. Most places wanted to charge me by the hour and minimum charge would have been $100. Joe's had it ready within 2 hours and only charged me $50. He in now my new printer guy and I recommended him to anyone needing printer repair.

    I took my computer to two places who were unable to remove the viruses. They said the only option was to reinstall the operating system. Then I took it to Joe and he had it ready the next day without losing any files and running even faster than ever. I will definitely use him in the future and recommend him to all my friends.

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. The most common jobs are virus/malware removal for computers and ghost paper jams for printers but I also do hardware or software repairs on most major brands of computers and printers.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Most viruses and malware can be eliminated with 2 free programs in addition to your anti-virus program. Malwarebytes and Superantispyware are two free programs that are great at removing malware, but it's best to have them installed before your computer is infected. They can be downloaded from malwarebytes.org and superantispyware.com. If you're looking for a free anti-virus program, I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials or Avast. They're good and they won't slow your computer down like AVG and others. It can be downloaded at microsoft.com/security_essentials and avast.com.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I'm CompTIA A+ certified as well as being certified on HP and Dell products and I have over 12 years of professional experience.

Every computer gets a complete cleaning inside and out in addition to a complete tune-up and every printer gets a complete cleaning as well.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I knew that I wanted to work on computers since elementary school Repairing computers and printers has always come easy to me. Like most guys, I've always liked taking things apart to see how they work and then putting them back together. I've always been interested in computers and the latest technology.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I subscribe to several computer magazines and websites to help keep up to date on the latest advances in technology. I also keep my certifications up to date and currently working on getting a Microsoft certification.
