Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. We specialize in repairing homeowners lawn sprinkler systems, we enjoy dealing with and getting to forge a lasting realationship with our homeowner/clients. We can repair any sprinkler sytem issue(breaks valves, wiring problems controller issues) we also can add heads, redesign, add foundation watering system, do upgrades to improve over all water conservation throught new technology in controllers, heads and nozzels, also drip irrigation. We commonly do all these tasks.
Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.
A. We just this week Feb 27 2012 , update two sprinkler systems in Rockwall, TX. Both homeowners were concerned about future water restictions for the area, so we retrofitted the flower beds with drip irrigation and added drip lines around entire perrimeter of the homes to facilitate foundation watering in the event of continued drought conditions. We also completed two general repairs one in Richardson, TX, a broken riser, and one in Plano, TX, a broken pop-up. We did a spring tune up on both these systems. All of the above are customers who have used us for several years now and call us several times a year for maintenance and repairs.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. We have been in business now for 15 years, we are a small company intentionally. A business were the Licenced/owner Timothy O'Brien is the one who will service your system. Tim is an expert in this field and someone you can communicate with and at the same time he can educate you the customer about the proper/ funtional use of your irrigation system.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. We say this is every little boys dream job, getting to play in the mud all day. We also tell our customers why we are so beautiful, because we take mud baths all the time( you may not think we are beautiful but our wifes do and that is all that matters). The point is we enjoy what we do and can laugh at ourselves. We are experts that can troubleshoot any problem in a reasonable amount of time and you the customer get the expert licenced person, not a unsupervied crew who you can't even communicate with, such an advantage for you.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. The State of Texas requires all Lic. Irrigation experts to have at least 8 hrs of continuing education each year. I have completed courses in water auditing, water consevation, back flow prevention, electrical trouble-shooting, I also attend annual meeting held by the TTIA and DIA which are organizations that support the irrigation industry.
