Georgetown Computer has been doing my computer work for a long time, and years before were also formerly a TV , Stereo, and VCR Shop called Audio Video Servicenter. They have been around along time in the electronics trade, changing as it changed. That many years adds to knowledge in the electronics field. They have always been able to solve my problems or answer my questions.

My Business is in water well drilling and repair. Computers are not something I wish to learn too much about. I use them for specific things for business and I need those things to work. When I have had problems in the past, I have called on many so called experts in the field. John at Georgetown computers is the first one that could fix about everything I could break on a computer. I also had the highspeed satellite based internet he sells for my business since i work and live in the country, and its great. He even put me up a website for my business that has brought me clients from as far away as lybia. Prices have always been under what I expected and alot of free advice in person and over the phone. If you need computer help or anything else, give them a call !

I moved from Austin Area years ago and finding myself in the country with no good options for internet service. After trying all the local internet connections. I continued to be dissapointed with what was offered. After purchasing the $49.95 Satellite all my problems were solved with fast connect and fast downloads. The installer being experienced in computers was able to get everything in sinc.
Also, have used this computer repair service to fix problems with my computer not related to the internet service.
Owner is trustworthy and a joy to work with.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. We specialize in data loss retreival at a reasonable price. It's important to get the right person the first time if you expect the most results in getting back your lost computer data. Experience= results.
We also offer on-site computer repair or pickup and delivery for business & home, which seems to be a hard to find service in many areas. The Doctor CAN come to you still.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. In Electronics since 1980, it has been an intriguing journey and know what customers expect. It's a great feeling to get our customers up and going again, and yes, they are comfortable enough to call us between times to get guidance over the phone at no charge .
I have always told customers don't worry, that your computer will teach you its ways if you sit in front of it very much , and many found that to be true that didn't know what a mouse was at first but are experts now. But it is always nice to have someone you can call in a tough situation.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. How do I keep from getting a Virus ? Well the answer is use a virus protection software that automatically updates itself. AND remember when your downloading those fancy FREE "toolbars" , games, etc. remember nothings free! Most likely theres a string attached!.
Why is my computer so slow now days?. This is a result of some of these "free" programs, toolbars, past email attachments, etc. that you have on your system causing operations "behind the scenes" without you knowing which robs your processors speed and causes your computer to act slower, and loss of speed and functions to a virus, trojan, or worm is also likely.
Whats the best way to speed up my computer? The cheapest hardware add is physical Memory, for an extra stick of memory can make your system work easier and faster as if you changed processor. Also Make sure you have no viruses. Make sure you run a check and defrag your harddrive .
