Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Digital live recording, remastering, mastering, and a/v format conversion. Soundman (live). Piano Tuning. I also broadcast client spots on my online Geezer Radio station. See my website for all my services!

Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.

A. 2 lengthy remastering of cd's for commercial release (one from tape and the other from a cassette), and tuned a Yamaha grand piano!

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Listen to the Difference! If it's not an improvement, the service should be FREE! Now most studios charge by the hour (I am project based) so shop around before you commit your blood, sweat and tears!

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Patience! On rare occasions the first take works, but more often than not, it requires additional recordings and proper mixdown/tweeking applied. Then comes the mastering, and final touches before pressing. Understanding the process, allows for a smoother session. It's not as easy as it looks!

Q. What are you currently working on improving?

A. Equipment upgrades!
