The technician that came to my house and repaired my computer was very fast and easy to talk to. He explained everything to me in a language that I could understand. The next time I saw that problem arising, I remembered what he had taught me and was able to quickly solve the issue myself without a service call. Thanks PC Repair Network.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Virus removal and Data recovery. 80% of all computer problems today are virus or spyware related.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Check experiences. If there is any doubt, then check references. There are a lot people attempting to repair computer but don't really have the knowledge or experience. We call them green techs. They are usually somebody you know through a friend and knows "something about computers". We have seen where using someone of this caliber has ended up costing the customer a lifetime of data on their computer. Be careful who you choose.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I wish that I knew all of my competitors customers. We would like to show them how we provide service. Give them the choice.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. The make, Model and specifications of their computer. The specific symptoms would also help.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We are fast, professional and affordable. We actually teach you how you better maintain your computer after we've fixed it. We leave you more knowledgeable than our competitors.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We love working with people. We have been doing this for over 20 years and it's amazing to see people grow in the knowledge of what they are so reliant upon these days - computers. Being a part of that brings joy to our hearts.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How long have we been doing this? Well, the results of our service speaks for itself. We leave nothing undone. This impresses our customers because we will even check other areas that were not on the work order just to make sure that just because we replaced the oil doesn't mean that we neglect the motor that's about to fall out too. A metaphor from the automobile repair business.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. Yes. When Geek Squad customers come into our store and tell us they were charged $80.00 for diagnostics and still couldn't deliver a repaired unit to the customer. Our techs diagnose and repair the problem in less than one day successfully. That feel good. It feels real good when it happens over and over again.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I wish they know just how darn easy we are to deal with. We are very down to earth and make all of our customers feel like family. We don't use our knowledge to make our customers feel less but more.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. By accident. I took a computer programming class in High School. Didn't really like it. I began writing business plans for start-up companies after high school. I traded my services for an old 8088 XT IBM PC to one of my customers seeking a business plan. I purchased a book in the back of a magazine that was suppose to show me how to assemble a computer. I tested it on the computer I took for trade. I completely disassembled the computer and begin to follow the instructions on how to reassemble it. When I reached the end of the book, I still had parts on the table. I had to figure out the rest on my own. I got hooked and repeated the process until I became an expert in computer assembly. The rest is history.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. We was able to bring a customers computer that was totally infested with viruses back to life long enough to recovery all the customers data. They had given up on it.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. We provide one-one-one training to customer. We can schedule these training classes around the customers work schedule and divide them into as many sessions as they want.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. That's just it, we don't have a complicated pricing structure. We are a flat rate service provider. No hourly charges that can run extremely high. We are knowledgeable enough that we don't have to depend on racking up tons of hours to repair a problem. We repair most issues within 1 hour.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Know what you are doing. It's not as easy as people make it seem. Take the classes and practice on different repair senarios whenever you can.

Q. Write your own question and answer it.

A. Do you love this business. It's what I was made to do.
