Lisa Carter is an equine bodyworker, certified through Northwest School of Animal Massage and Advanced Whole Horse Dynamics. A student of Parelli Natural Horsemanship, currently studying Level 3 of that program, Lisa utilizes what she has learned about equine communication, ground skills and exercises, and horse and rider fluidity concepts, and incorporates this information into a customized therapeutic plan for her equine clients.

  I had Lisa out for the first time this week to work on our 2 horses. My horse had no major issues I was concerned about, but just seemed "crabby" lately. She identified several areas of tightness and spasm and was able to relieve a lot of this. I rode him later that day and the difference in his suppleness was huge. She also worked on my husband's horse and really took the time to evaluate and treat each horse individually. Her approach and recommendations were different for each of them and reflective of her knowledge of anatomy and each horse's specific issues. See also took the time to teach me the various recommended stretches to keep each horse as supple as possible. I highly recommend Lisa!

  You won't find a more knowledgeable or competent equine masseuse than Lisa Carter. Her natural horsemanship background combined with her love for horses gives her an exceptional ability to help a horse be all that it can be, whether recovering from an accident or just to be the best in the performance arena. She treated my stallion with her massage techniques and I saw an immeidiate difference in his movement. He was injured as a 10 month old in his shoulder and would be lame periodically from the accident. After being treated by Lisa,(8 years after the accident) I couldn't believe the difference. He is much more "free" in his shoulder and not toeing down like he did. She also was very happy to share her education with me so I could do some things to help my stallion. I can highly recommend her to anyone looking for help with their horse, whether it be recovery from an accident, a way to enhance the performance potential of your equine, or just to give your horse a wonderful ending to a tough workout. She WILL be able to help you.

  Lisa is really wonderful with the horses. She uses natural horsemanship techniques and immediately establishes rapport with the horse. Then it is like a day at the spa for them! I noticed much better movement from my horse, and also a whole new attitude after Lisa did her magic.

  Lisa is terrific! She is professional and kind- the horses love her. She takes her time, not only to get to know the horse, but also to listen to the owners' concerns and address them. Lisa has an extensive amount of training and is able to do more than simply "run her hands over" the horse. She warms the horses up slowly and will even help them with gentle stretches before she is finished. After the massage, Lisa will write up a report for the owner discussing what she found and any follow-up exercises needed for the well-being of the horse. I find the reports extremely helpful when I visit my chiropractor/acupuncturist- a great way to be certain everyone is on the same page when it comes to my horses' care! If you want to be sure you are doing absolutely everything you can for the well-being of your horse(s), then I absolutely recommend you contact Lisa, ASAP.

  Lisa did massages for some of my race horses. They perk up when they see her coming down the shed row. One of the mares that she worked showed amazing changes in her back, after a few sessions I could see a difference.
  She also taught me how to do some simple massages on my horses to help them when she isn't around.
  I was totally impressed with her commitment to my horses well being!

  My mare loves Lisa Carter! Her knowledge of equine anatomy and therapeutic massage have enabled her to correct imbalances in Breeze's hindquarters. She also gave me several exercises to help her build muscles that were underdeveloped because of existing imbalances. I've used other equine massage therapists and none have gotten the results Lisa has.
