Survey findings and summary
After a two-month survey of over 6,000 small business owners nationwide, Thumbtack.com has released new data showing that Houston small business owners viewed the city very favorably across a variety of measures. Houston also earned an 'A' for its training programs, dramatically better than the 'D' received by Dallas-Fort Worth.
Some of the key findings for Houston include:
- Houston earned an 'A+' for the friendliness of its zoning ordinances and a 'B-' for its environmental regulations.
- East Texas ranks as the state's least friendly region for small business.
