When it comes to my money I have a DIY approach to investing and retirement planning. I don't trust financial advisors (you shouldnt either). They're in it for their paycheck not yours. But when it comes to taxes a good CPA is a goldmine and worth their fee several fold.
Enter Jaswant Gill. A couple of years ago he saved me THOUSANDS in unnecessary taxes. How? He knows the tax code extremely well and was able to work his magic. This year I did a backdoor Roth IRA. Jaswant again knew exactly how to handle the tax side of it (form 8606).
Briefly, I'm a physician who recently joined a large group. From contract negotiation, to sign on bonus, to Obamacare taxes to making partner at my practice Jaswant has been able to guide me every step.
