FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Together we will discuss your goals and create an action plan. It’s important that you have a say in how your lessons will unfold and understand my method of teaching and training.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I danced on the Morton Ranch Drill Team, The Maverick Belles. I also danced on and was Lieutenant Colonel of The Spring Woods Tigerettes. I choreographed and performed two award winning solo routines in ADT and HTE dance competitions. I also performed and choreographed award winning group routines for national and international competitions. I attended the University of Houston on a merit scholarship and with the help of the coveted Mayra Canare Spirit award and scholarship from my high school drill team to study Dance. At U of H I danced with the University Dance Theater program. I was then accepted into a Spring program at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts. From there I worked for a private dance company, Super Stars Dance. I then worked for Houston Dance Factory and New Vibe Dance Studio along with teaching and choreographing routines for various schools. I’ve trained under two Salsa world champions, Karla Blanco and Eddy Deynes, and danced on their partner and ladies' styling teams. I have also worked as a Judge's Assistant for the Crowd Pleasers dance competitions. I continue to vigorously train and take classes and embrace all styles of dance that I can.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I started high school, we had moved from Spring Branch to Katy so I didn’t know anyone. I was a “rocker” kid and felt like an outcast. Instead of taking PE I decided the dance class would be more tolerable. I fell in love. My mom dared me to try out for the dance team so of course I did. To my surprise, I made it! I choreographed and competed with a solo the same year to “Killer Queen” by Queen. It has been an incredible ride since.
