While i was worried that I had made a huge mistake when my AC stopped working just one day after they were at my house, my distrust of most contractors was changed after I called. They came back to my house on the same day I called and found that the issue was a switch had been turned off. Even better, they did not charge me for the call! I hope I don't have to, but if I do, I'll be calling them the next time I need AC work.

Higher Standard did a great job replacing our entire heating and a/c system this past summer. I feel like we got a fair price, and Steve and Rob were always great to deal with. Both effectively communicated the scope of the work that was being done as well as the process and timeframes involved, and met or exceeded all expectations set.

I had Higher Standard A/C & Heating come out to give me a price on a new unit, they asked if they could inspect my system before giving me a price so I agreed. They found that I had some crushed duct and a dirty coil and did not need to replace my unit after all. I really appreciated their honesty. I found a company that I feel I can trust and I recommend them to everyone.

Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. We take great pride in the fact that we can provide customers with honest service and opinions as to their needs.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Do I really need a new AC and heating system? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. We have followed other contractors whose recommendations were way off. Perhaps it was a mistake, but perhaps it was an attempt to make more money. Unfortunately, this answer varies from system to system and we would need to check out the system before the final answer was made. It is an unfortunate event, but we have countless appointments where we follow another contractor and give a completely different diagnosis and opinion.
