Mr. Lewis is a wonderful photographer to work with. He provided a MUA that was exceptional . He was able to take my ideas and bring them to the camera. He is one of the best photographers I have worked with!!!

Someone referred me to Kendrick after I saw the work they had done together. We set up the appointment over the phone, and right from jump street Kendrick was warm and welcoming, so by the time I arrived at the studio it felt like a reunion with an old friend! He made the shoot as painless as possible, and kept me at ease throughout the shoot by engaging me during down time.
Since he is a very experienced photographer and loves what he does, he was able to guide lots of poses throughout the shoot. His firendly MUA also contributed to the overall superior experience, in addition to providing high quality make-up services.
I plan to use these services again for my future events, such as my upcoming graduation and possibly a wedding (if that day ever comes, lol) as his high quality work is priced reasonably low. Kendrick comes highly recommended by me!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. My most common jobs are sports, modeling, family, and event photography.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Review our work, our reviews, even contact references if possible.
Also, because of theft(of photos), meet with your photographer and view their photos. When we take pictures, we have more than one or two photos of each session. So, if your photographer is only able to show you one photo of a session, it's possible that the photos
are not theirs.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. How much work it actually takes to edit photos. Depending on what's being done, it usually never takes more than an hour to edit a photo. Changing photos are different, but editing lighting, color, or just adding make-up is pretty simple.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Buyers should have the locations of which they desire to shoot and wether they would like to change clothing during the session. Most of all, they should have an estimated time frame that it'll take. This is something that will determine the balance of their investment.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My work stands out from others, because not only am I accomplished at creating beautiful images, but I know it doesn't take a million dollars to make it happen.
I make sure clients are comfortable, relaxed, and know that I have there best interest at heart. Which I know assists in bringing out the most natural and beautiful shots ever. If you have to worry about how much your paying, how are you able to enjoy what your doing.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I most enjoy the smile on peoples faces when they see the finished products of my work. It really moves me and makes my job worth wild when someone looks at there images and return to that moment. Whether it's tears or laughter, just the fact that it brings those memories
back so vividly creates emotions.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Most commonly asked question is "Is it gonna cost an arm and a leg?". My reply is always "no".

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. Yeeeeeesss I do. I caught a model in a gorgeous shot with her eyes close. Sheeeee beeegged, "please get rid of it". So, of coarse I said "ok", but I didn't. I end up editing the photo and showed her and it is now one of her most favorite. I love capturing natural shots like that. They can not be replaced or imitated.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I wish clients knew that I'm efficient when it comes to utilizing their time and finances.
I wish, about my profession, clients knew that, although there is a lot of work that goes into photography it doesn't
take you taking out a loan to capture your memories.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I decided to get into photography, because I assisted family member at a young age and fell in love with it.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I recently did a partial portfolio for a young lady. There were other photogs that refused the young lady because they didn't feel she fell into their spectrum of beauty. I on the other hand know that everyone possess their own form absolute. I allowed her to be herself and made her comfortable and she took some fabulous shots.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I most definitely stay educating myself in my field. There are always new learned discoveries from day to day. I want to be as efficient as possible for my clients. If I'm unable to offer them the latest, then what do I really have to offer.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. I'm still researching the new developments and the photography business always has exciting things to offer. Choosing what to incorporate is the biggest decision.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. My most recent project was a calender shoot. It took almost the entire day for me and about half a day for the client. It mostly involved white, black, and grey backdrops (to get the most efficient effects from the client. The balance for beverages, time, MUA, and rental products where kept to a minimum of $400.00. It's inexpensive considering the calenders are selling at $15 - $20 each, so the expense will be well worth it.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. There is nothing complicated about my pricing. I estimate my pricing according to the time I feel it would take to get the job done. That includes shooting, editing, and printing if necessary. All other expenses are at the cost of the client. Usually, most shoots could be done within a couple hours.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. If I was advising someone, my advice would be to get with someone or a team that's already established, work with them and learn as much as possible. Then, establish a client base of your own and branch out if you still feel it's something you would like to do.

Q. Write your own question and answer it.

A. How important is a good reputation?
Reputation is more important than anything. Over all, your ability to stand by your word and provide outstanding service is what assists your business in long term growth and lasting.
