FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process involves some sort of meeting to determine what kind of theme, feel or requirements expected of the session- either in person, via email or over the phone. I personally like to deal in person better. It tends to make the client feel more comfortable the day of the session because you feel as if you know each other and there is a sense of trust. We get through the meeting, decide dates and times, sign a contract and we are on our way. We complete a session or event and then work to get our photos to the client in a timely manner keeping in touch through the whole way. I like to text little preview images through the session editing process.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I never wanted to sit in front of a camera... Growing up I was always the kid who ran around with a camera in hand, taking photos at all the family events. It stayed with me as the rest of my life changed. People interest me... Who they are. Where they came from. Their goals and dreams. That is why I want to do this. Their smiles, memories, laughter, their stories... They say a picture says a thousand words... that isn't true.... they tell novels. The stories of the lives behind the work that I do... that is something worth seeing. That is why I do this.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Portraits. Really all kinds of portraits: maternity, engagements, prom, graduation, babies. But I also love to photograph weddings. The bliss and happiness you see in those particular works of art are always astonishingly beautiful. I love to see people in love!!
