Wendy came to our house to train our 6 month old AKITA, Sam. She them took him to her home for 5 weeks. Came back to our house & trained him for another few weeks. He was impossible at first. But, after her expertise training, he was a walkable boy. We were even able to take him to the dog park. He LOVED going to the dog park. He lived 4 VERY HAPPY YEARS. Out of 2 litter's of 8 each litter his mother had, that I know of, she killed them all but Sam & 2 others. The other two died by the time they were 6 months old. Sam was SUCH A JOY to our lives. I Will remember & miss SAM till the day I die.RIP BABY BOY. !!!!!!!THANK YOU WENDY FOR HELPING MAKE SAM'S SHORT LIFE BETTER.!!!!!!!

Absolutely LOVE the progress she was able to work with our rescue beagle-mix, Huey. We adopted him when he was approximately 3 years old, and know little about his background aside from he was wandering the streets for months and was scared of people (we can tell he was abused, but don't know to what extent). We thought he may have been too far gone for training, but decided to give it a try. He ended up working with Wendy for 3 weeks before he came home to us. With continuous training that Wendy taught us, we were able to get him to abide by our commands and he now behaves correctly with little instruction from us. He's still excited to see her when she does home visits with us, so we're happy to be able to board him with her when we go out of town.

We met Wendy from 303 Animal Clinic when she did Bad Puppy Training School...and we had a REALLY BAD dog for her. She performed a MIRACLE with Badger and we were shocked at the difference in him just by taking him to the classes. When we got Baby a few years later, she needed INTENSIVE potty training because she was adorable but didn't have a good attention span to say the least. Wendy worked with her for two weeks and we were extremely pleased with the results. Baby was my girl and Wendy taught her well. She was kind to my little girl and patient and I'll never forget that. Both dogs loved her and whenever we'd see Wendy at the vet's clinic they'd get all excited. I still think Badger would have preferred to live with her than us!!! We called her his girlfriend!!! She just has the love and patience that dogs sense in her and she's able to bring out the best in them. I wouldn't trust anybody else with my dogs.

Wendy is excellent. Being Texan myself I love her accent but most of all I love that she's knowledgeable, patient and knows what she's doing when it comes to training and behavior modification! From puppies to dogs with aggression, Wendy is an excellent choice! - Stacy Greer of Adventures in Canine Training, Inc.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am continually attending educational seminars & taking part in online webinars. As with dogs, keeping my brain active via learning is important to me and for everyone of us. Learning from other's experiences, trying different training techniques can only help me grow as a trainer & benefit the dogs and helping their owners achieve their training goal.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Thankfully, most people call me when their pet is young so that they can start their obedience training early. By doing this, they are giving their dogs the tools they need to live in our human world and avoiding behavior problems. It is so much easier to teach a dog the RIGHT things to do in the first place rather than trying to modify bad behaviors that have already been learned. Although don't despair - if your dog has already learned some bad manners, it is never too late to change their existing bad behaviors. With time, practice and patience you can have a well behaved, loving pet.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure when you are choosing a professional dog trainer the person or company that you choose ONLY uses Positive Reinforcement Force Free Training techniques. This will build your relationship with your dog on mutual love, trust and respect. Train without Pain! Your dog will love you for it!
