Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Do Your Research. There are lots of "DJs" in Texas. You want to hire a professional with experience. Ask your DJ if he or she can mix records. This is pretty essential to keeping the momentum up on a dance floor. You also want a DJ that is going to work closely with his Bride and Groom to develop a playlist and itinerary for the evening.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. There are lots of "DJs" that show up with one computer and a couple of speakers and call it good. Real DJs Mix songs together and are able to create an atmosphere on the dance floor to keep your guests entertained. Find out if the DJ is just going to play one song at a time or continuously mix some songs together. Word of mouth or referrals are an excellent way to find a DJ. Unfortunately, I hear lots of horror stories about wedding DJs. Your wedding day is supposed to be the best day of your life, and you want a DJ that will go to great lengths to NOT MESS IT UP.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. With over 13 years experience, I realize how important the DJ can be to the success of an event. Lots of Wedding DJs do not mix records. It is important to have continuity during the dancing portion of a wedding. With a real DJ to keep the energy on the dance floor, your guests never want to sit down. I have also heard more than my fair share of Wedding DJ horror stories. Leave the entertainment to a confident professional with a great microphone presence.
