Had major plumbing leak in shower area. Was very satisfied with their work and would recommend them to others. Very professional and knowledegable individuals. They even resolved a couple of minor issues I had while they were here. I was so satisified, I asked them to do some additional carpentery to be done later and I am sure I will be just as satisified with their work in that area.

Rick rebuilt my sons vanity and repaired some dry wall damage and did a wonderful job. Rick is courteous, timely and competitevly priced. I highly recommend Rick and the work he does. It's not the first time I've used Rick and will definitely not be the last.

Mr. Rickey has done two plumbing jobs for me and he did them very quickly and very well. He is courteous and very dependable. I plan to have him come and do some remodeling after the first of the year!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. It varies. I do all types of home projects & repairs, painting, and remodeling, tile work, electrical and plumbing, carpentry, etc.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Do a little shopping, know what you want, find out a little about the materials that will be used on your job. Do some checking on the contractor, find out if you'd been reported to the BBB. Talk to some of his customers.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Well if I was a customer, I guess I would like to know how to do the job so, I wouldn't have to hire a contractor. There's so many trade secrets but the most important is to have the tools to do the right job.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. How many years he's or she has been in business, is this company licensed and insured. Try to find out that the person doing your work is capable of doing it and has the knowledge and experience necessary. And if you have any doubts get a second opinion.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I take pride in my work. My father taught me if any thing is worth doing, it's worth doing right the first time.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Making my customers happy. A happy customer is a referral, and that keeps me working.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Customers always ask how long have I been doing this type of work & do I have referrals. My answer to this is that I have been doing this over 30 years & yes I do have many referrals.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Started off painting and found I had a gift for this type of work. I enjoy managing the job and making sure it gets done right.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Yes, I read trade journals and take classes for the Texas Residential Construction Commission (TRCC) to keep my licensure up to date.
