Introduction: My name is Eric Johnson and until recently I had a restaurant set in a historical home in Old Town Katy.
I specialize in primarily American and TexMex food such as meatloaf, fried chicken, chicken fried steak and pork chops, casseroles (such as beef or chicken enchilada, tuna, baked spaghetti), sandwiches and soups. I can even make tamales! As much as possible, I prefer to make everything from scratch (I roast my own meat for the sandwiches!).
I also make homemade ice cream and have won an award for my coffee ice cream from the ArtReach Houston project. And I can make baked desserts including a smooth lemon meringue pie! Even though my specialty is American/TexMex, I am always experimenting with new dishes and tastes.
I am also very aware of the ingredients that go into my dishes especially when cooking for someone that has special dietary needs. So if you hire me we can coordinate exactly what you want down the ingredients if needed.
