Introduction: Because we do things differently. I'm from the North where painting is a craft, a skill, a trade. Many painting companies in this area do what we call "hit and run" or "blow and go" work, which is fine, if thats what the customer expects. I've taught my staff a different approach to painting. Do it right the first time to avoid mistakes and problems, and take pride in your work. Sometimes it takes a little extra work, but its better to do it the right way than having to redo it. Everyday I'm doing something different. Meeting different people, feeling like we are offering a service that not many can match. I've been in this business so long and have seen so much, but there can always be a challege that has to be overcome and the feeling of knowing how to handle it, is a good feeling. Its nice making a living at something you enjoy doing.

Steve and his team completely overhauled the inside of our house.It was painted a dark brown color and the large wall spaces showed lots of drywall screws. The team transformed the house into a light bright space with perfectly finished walls. All doors, light switches, power outlets and woodwork were painted. The work product excellent and the team was very hard working. Additionally Steve turned his hand to a number of tricky carpentry and plumbing tasks, all of which were completed well. All in all I would strongly recommend Steve and his team.

We were so happy with the work Steve and his crew did for us when they painted the outside of our house, we didn't hesitate to call him again when it was time to do the interior. The work was completed in a timely, meticulous and professional manner. Steve provided us with expert advice during the planning phase of the project and even finessed some custom cabinetry for us. The project included painting paneled walls in our den through our dining area, kitchen and utility room. Kitchen cabinets were painted inside and out. The difference was dramatic, and we couldn't be more pleased with the results!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
While I was in college to be an Engineer I painted dorm rooms for spending money. Back then minimum wage was $1.15 an hour and I was making $50 a day. I decided I can always come back to school and chose to learn the painting trade. I hooked up with a great teacher that in 2 years had taught me everything there was to know at the time, about the painting trade. The rest I learned on the fly as a painter and a businessman running a painting business
What types of customers have you worked with?
Repaint a home to get it on the market, repaint a home that was just bought, or freshen up a home by changing the color.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I bought some discontinued 2 panel shutters at Lowe's for $3 each and I cut them up and made the correct size shutters for one of my customers. Because they were so cheap, I made them in my shop in my garage after work, it was a learning experience, and she was such a good customer, I didn't charge her for them.
