Clients try to put in their own .02 cents and sometimes it can be a struggle between what a client reads on the Internet verses a technicians knowledge and experience with equipment. A. I've always excelled at my skills. With every contract job I held or every project I managed I was always told to start my own business. Finally, while working at Compaq Computers a colleague of mine encouraged me to start small and work at it until I had enough clients to be on my own - which ended up to be a blessing. I began meeting with clients on the weekends until the merger of HP and Compaq. Our department of over 1000 employees were let go and that was the start of TechXperts.
A. It's the little things that count. We recently had a lady drop off her computer that would not boot up at all. She was almost in tears. She told us that there were years of photos of her kids and grand-kids and she just wanted the pictures and could care less about anything else. Although the hard drive was close to hardware failure, and screamed as we booted it up, we were able to retrieve all her pictures. We didn't stop there - we replaced her hard drive and set her up with an online account where she could store all her pictures and never have to worry about losing them again.
