We are new to Texas and our house needed a few small jobs done. Handyman Connection fixed two problems quickly. They were professional, timely and reasonably priced. We will absolutely use them again.Another five star review from us a year later. (1/21). Today they replaced all of our hard wired smoke detectors. A great job. Very efficient worker, and he worked Covid safe-- a mask and social distancing the entire time. A great business to use when you just don't know who to call.

I recently hired the Handy Man Connection for a job, and I must say, it was an utterly disappointing experience. Not only were they completely unprepared for the task at hand, but they also charged exorbitant labor hours for what ended up being merely one hour of work. From the get-go, it was evident that the Handy Company had not adequately planned for the job. Their lack of preparation was apparent, and it resulted in unnecessary delays due to the handy man having to go to the store. He was gone for an hour and 23 minutes and I was still charged for that time. It is unacceptable for a professional service provider to arrive ill-equipped and unready to tackle the task they were hired for. To make matters worse, their billing practices were outrageous. Despite the job being completed in just one hour, they charged me for excessive labor hours where the handy man was not present in my home. This blatant overcharging left me feeling deceived and taken advantage of. It is utterly unfair to expect customers to pay for services that were not rendered or excessive time that was not spent.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We quote by the project with a firm price for labor. If additional damage is noted during the work, we always present these items at that time to discuss options and understand how the customer would like to proceed.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first engage on the phone to get the customer details and general outline of the work that the customer is needing. We then schedule an appointment to visit to find out what the customers needs and their expectation before providing a detailed estimate. We also can provide estimates remotely using photographs on smaller projects.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a background in engineering and have worked in commercial facility maintenance in senior management positions. My craftsmen all have a minimum of 10 years of trade experience before representing the business and all go through a criminal background check on an annual basis.
