John and Cindy did a fantastic job at making the course material fun and interactive during my five months with them. The two of them work very well together and never left any questions unanswered and there is plenty of comedic relief. The extra trainers also were a big help in the way of diversifying and teaching the hands on processes that each of them use on a daily basis. I would recommend Bell County EMS Training to anyone and hope to see them grow in this area.

Cyndi Dowling is a great instructor! It's hard to not pay attention when you have a teacher who cares more about making sure the students know the material rather than just the payment. She actually works with us!

Cyndi is very professional, and her extensive knowledge and experience in the EMS field make learning from her both entertaining and truly informative. The practical approach that she takes to teaching makes it easy to absorb large amounts of material while both retaining the information and having a good time. I would highly recommend Cyndi and Bell County EMS Training as a whole.

Class size was a tad big; moving to the new building helped, especially when practicing clinical skills. I still tood advantage of any extra days offered to practice. It would have been nice ot have a field trip involving a junk yard, holding C-spine while kneeling in the back seat is way different than standing behind a person sitting in a chair in the classroom..........and lets not forget the steering wheel, break/gas pedal, ect ect. Obstacles in other words. Maybe set up a Sat mass-cal with help of some firefighters so we can see how it really goes down. ;-)

Cyndi D. from Bell County EMS Training replied to this review on August 6, 2013:

Thanks Deborah. It would be nice if I could get the fire department to allow the fitefighters time in the community to help an unaffiliated business with training, and if the junk yards would allow a field trip, but unfortunatly due to budget and hazards I don't see that happening. The new building has definately given us more room. It was great seeing you the other day. Take care and be safe!

I just sent my son to a CPR/Firstaid training here in san antonio cause we have moved. His class was well over 8HRS and I had to adjust to their schedule. With Bell County EMS Training, I called and mentioned I have a budget and limited time during the day. what was great was "BC EMS" let us pay one payday after we took the class and they scheduled around my schedule and it was actually cheaper then most other trainings. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Bell County EMS Training

We had Cyndi (and Jon) present their CPR training to all members of the construction company that I work for. She has an excellent presentation, followed by a detailed demonstration. Then we went into the practical work for practice, then for testing. She gave us no slack, so if you didn't actually do it properly, she asked you to do it over until she was satisfied that you could actually perform it well enough to save a life, if ever confronted with that opportunity (situation). I would recommend it for everyone, as we never know when that situation might present itself. Be prepared. I would hope that if I were ever in a situation where I needed CPR, that someone who had been trained by Cyndi was close by to save my life. I do not remember precisely how long it took, but whatever the time it was well worth it.

They were great with their instruction/Hands-on portion and the customer service was excellent. I ended up losing my card and they fronted the money to overnight a new card to me during their after work hours to help get it to me as quick as possible.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. We currently offer an Emergency Medical Technician course that starts on January and in July. The class is 196 hours long and meets in the evenings. Once the course is completed, the student is eligible to take the national Registry EMT exam and to apply for Texas state certification.

We teach several different classes for CPR. Our two most popular are the
*BLS for Health Care Providers, which is required for anyone in the medical field
*Pediatric First Aid, which is for anyone wanting to adopt, foster, or babysit children. It meets the special topics requirement in Texas.
All of our First Aid and CPR classes are American Heart Association, and the certification is good for two years.
We also offer the AHA (ACLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support and the AHA (PALS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support courses.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. We are an established business with several years of CPR and First Aid Training. We are portable and can bring our business to yours. We have competative pricing and offer group discounts,

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Push hard and fast!

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What class is right for me?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. What is your purpose for taking this class?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We have a lot of the same classes that are offered by other local agencies. We are price comparable with others. We provide a portable business for companies that can not send their employees away from the office, or would like a group class of just their employees.
What makes us different is the passion and energy that we put into each class.
All of our instructors are actively involved in the Emergency Services field and put their hearts into teaching people the importance of recognizing an emergency, feeling confident in their First Aid and CPR skills.
All students, regardless of job or position are run through the entire course with no "exceptions" or "short cuts" taken.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. What class do I need to take?

the answer is simple...
If you are going into the Medical field and need a CPR card, you will need to take the BLS for Health Care Providers course.

If you are adopting a child, fostering a child, babysitting, or wanting to work for a daycare facility, you will need to take a Pediatric First Aid course.

If you are a contractor or business owner wanting your employees to know what to do in the event of an emergency, you will need to take a First Aid course.

If you just want to learn CPR so that you know what to do in an emergency, you can take the CPR/AED course that we offer.

Hope this answers all of your questions.
