Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Don't be fooled by cheap prices. Some cleaners advertise incredibly low prices just to get in the door, and then add additional costs in order to actually get your carpet clean.
Carpets should be cleaned at least once a year, possibly more depending on habits and usage.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. ALMOST ANY professional carpet cleaner will do a better job than a rented machine like you find at the grocery store.
Vacuuming removes up to 80% of the particulate matter embedded in your carpet. Best practices include using walk off mats at all doorways, removing shoes when possible, and regular vacuuming (once per week per person or pet in the home is a good standard)
Some carpet cleaners try to cut their costs by using inferior cleaning solutions (Laundry soap! Vinegar!), or just plain water. Some use very strong cleaners that can potentially be harmful. Be sure you know what a company uses to clean your carpet.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. What methods do you use?
While there are various methods, the industry standard for regular cleanings is Hot Water Extraction. Low moisture methods such as encapsulation are great for touch ups and light cleaning in between your regular maintenance.
What chemicals do you use to clean with?
We use Green Seal Certified cleaning solutions for standard cleaning.

How long will it take to dry?
It is standard to see dry times anywhere from 2 to 8 hours. Anything more than 12 hours and the carpet can begin to grow mildew. Air circulation (along with vacuum technology and technique) is key to getting your carpet dry, HVAC, ceiling fans, box fans... anything to help air circulate and the moisture evaporate.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Quality work done by certified professionals. We aren't trying to clean many homes quick and cheap, were trying to clean fewer homes well.
We try to reduce the impact on the environment in the chemicals we use as well as the equipment we use. We only utilize lightweight portable equipment in order to reduce our vehicle size and reduce gas costs and environmental impact.
