Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I provide flight training that fits your style of flying. We can work together to make you a safe and smart aviator.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Watching a student do something on their own for the first time.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Is flying safe?
Yes. Frankly, it is safer than driving. Think about what it takes to get a drivers license. Not much, right? That is why there are FAA regulation requiring certain hours and area of knowledge to be taught before attempting to take a check ride for any particular flight rating.

How many hours does it take before I am eligable for a private pilot rating?
Regulations require at least 40 hours. Most people accomplish this in 50 hours.

How would you recommend becoming a pilot?
I strongly endorse the idea of purchasing your own aircraft. If you have the money, does it make more sense to rent a car daily or buy a car and pay monthly payments? After operating costs, the purchase of a car makes more financial sense. While new planes can go for more than six figures, older planes are always available at a much lower cost through different brokers and web sites. Purchase a used aircraft for cheaper by yourself or with a partner, train with it, earn the ratings you are working towards, and after you are rated evaluate whether to keep your aircraft or upgrade to something else that fits your budget and mission.
