Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. JMR Media creates custom built business websites as well as specialty personal web pages. If your building a new website from scratch or have an existing one that needs some maintenance we would love to hear from you. JMR Media can also take care of all your print design needs such as: business cards, flyers, brochures, and logo design.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. No one knows everything there is to know about website design. There's just too much. The website designer you select for your project should be able to adapt to change quickly and be open to adopting new practices.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Hmmmm... well I'm sure most prople would be shocked to know that a huge chunk of website development companies have no one in the entire company that can design and build a website. That's right. They just take your order, feed it over to another company in India to do the work, then charge you double (ok, sometimes triple) what their getting charged.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Out-sourcing small, odd, things here and there is not a bad thing, but make sure the majority of your designers work is done in-house. This results in quicker problem resolution, and a more customer friendly environment.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. You should think about what goals would you like this project to accomplish and what it's primary purpose is. Will you supply content like page copy and images or would you like me to provide these services? What is the overall mood you would like to project. Is it light, dark, nature feel, antique, abstract? You may need to consider a marketing plan for your website if you don't have one allready. These are all things to consider before you begin your project.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. Analytical and problem solving would be my biggest strength.
