Introduction: In addition to shooting in natural light situations, I also shoot using strobes and mixed lighting for the best possible look. I recognize the shot, and how to accomplish it the best way possible and use the RIGHT tool for the job. There's no sense in trying to force an impossible shot when a much better shot can be accomplished using the right tools. I have over 20 years of experience of working with people, cameras, and getting the right shot, the first time. That, and I'm awesome. I'm very easy to get along with, and I listen to my clients to get what they want. What other job out there would allow me to do what I love, and nurture my creative outlet? It's the best job in the world. :)

Michael has done numerous photo sessions with my family and he always does fabulous work! He listens to what you would like and also has great ideas of his own. He is flexible with location and does wonderful with infants and crazy toddlers. He always manages to capture great shots of my "never-stops-moving" daughter.

I hired Michael to take executive photos for a high-visibility corporate project and was extremely pleased with the results. This wasn’t an easy project – I’m located in Silicon Valley, yet my client is in Austin, so every detail had to be coordinated via text, email or phone. Because Michael is responsive and detail-oriented, everything went smoothly and the results exceeded our expectations. What impressed me most (and why I ended up choosing him over other photographers I evaluated) is Michael’s passion and drive. For example, when I described the types of shots we were looking for, he drove around Austin, texting me pictures of locations he recommended. Always, always, always. School is not just for photographers, it's for everyone! Seminars, workshops, all the good stuff that helps me stay abreast of what's new in my profession.

Been a photographer since I was 17. Yup. I wouldn't do anything else. :)
