Introduction: Learn to play the classical guitar with fun. I have over 20 years of experience in classical guitar, and general musicianship instruction. I offer the following: • beginner to advanced levels • all ages welcome • traditional or classical and Suzuki method • group lessons • trial lesson or initial analysis available free of charge • CD recording available for advanced students I believe that the first thing a student needs to learn to become a good musician, is to learn how to play their instrument properly. Many instructors insist on teaching students songs, without ensuring that the proper technique is achieved; this methodology can have serious repercussions later on, as bad habits are learned, and are very difficult to unlearn. My approach may take longer, but will result in a stronger foundation from which to build on. Within six months, students taught using my methods, will play music far more competently. Another important philosophy incorporated in my teaching method, is the belief that students learn better if they enjoy what they are learning. As such, I encourage self-motivation and positive reinforcement. If a student regards learning the guitar a chore, they will not only resent practicing, but will not increase their abilities. I seek students who genuinely want to play the guitar, and encourage them to select the style which they want to pursue. My job is to ensure they play well; it is up to the student to decide which musical direction to explore. I employ a number of highly effective guitar teaching methods, including the traditional or classical approach, and the Suzuki method. The Suzuki method, also called talent education, mother-tongue method, or Suzuki movement, is an education philosophy which strives to create high ability and beautiful character in its students, through a nurturing environment. The nurture involved in the movement is modeled on some of the factors present in native language acquisition, such as immersion, encouragement, small steps, and an unforced timetable for learning material, based on each person's developmental readiness to imitate examples, internalize principles, and contribute novel ideas.

I met Vadim for a free consultation and have since had two lessons with him. He is a very good teacher and has his own unique ways of explaining basic concepts. Students studying with Vadim will be very well grounded in basic classical guitar technique. I myself teach music lessons and understand the importance of building a solid foundation in the basics. There are great players on any instrument who can't teach, and there are great teachers who can't play. Vadim is the total package, one of those individuals who can do both very well. I'm looking forward to a long and fruitful teacher/student relationship with him.

My son (8 yrs old) and I both took guitar lessons from Vadim for over 2 years, (until we had to move out of state). Vadim is a one-of-a-kind teacher and professional musician. I have never had an instructor more dedicated to his students, and one who works more thoroughly to provide a complete educational experience. His breadth of knowledge and passion for guitar allows him to customize his teaching to fit any level and all of his students progress their abilities relatively quickly. He arranges numerous opportunities for his students to play in front of live audiences, (which especially goes a long way developing confidence and presentation skills in young musicians). I highly recommend Vadim to students who want to maximize their potential with this amazing instrument - he is truly committed to their success.

Mr. Timinsky is an excellent guitar teacher. His patience with students makes the lessens fun especially for young students. His knowledge and superb guitar technique make the lessons beneficial even for the most advanced students. My daughter has been with Mr. Timinsky for 6 years now and still enjoys the lessons immensely. I would highly recommend Mr. Timinsky for guitar students of all levels. K. Ko

My 11 year old son Eli has been studying classical guitar with Vadim for several years and we both really enjoy working with him. Eli has improved a lot, plays his pieces in monthly concerts organized by Vadim, and Eli took first place in school talent show this year playing famous Flamenco piece. Vadim is very professional and is excited about guitar and music himself, and most importantly has special ability to convey it to his students. He approaches kids in a way they can relate to and he gets them to smile and laugh quite a bit with his great sense of humor. Hope my son will continue learning from Vadim for years to come.
