FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I take at least 6 hours of continuing education a year to learn new techniques or to improve on the ones I already know.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I would come home from work and my neighbors would come running across the street and throw themselves on the floor and say "RUB MY BACK" They would also tell me that I should go to school and get a license because "YOU HAVE MILLION DOLLAR HANDS"!!! I told them when my son started Jr. High I would go to school. The day he started school I went to sign up for classes and I have been a licensed massage therapist ever since.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I do Swedish and Deep Tissue massage the most. I do have several clients that like a Cupping massage. Cupping is a wonderful technique, it is like a Deep Tissue massage that doesn't hurt as much and last twice as long. It's not for everyone, but clients that do like it do want any other type of massage.
