- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Makeup has always been a passion of mine, I remember buying makeup at the MAC counter when I was 15 and the lady at the register asking me if I had just gotten my makeup done. I was so surprised that someone thought a professional had done my makeup that it became something that I would constantly work at and try to perfect. I remember trying to replicate pictures of makeup until I got it perfect and then buying every single book about makeup at Barnes & Nobel and reading them all time and time again. Nothing makes me happier than making someone feel beautiful so thats why I work in the industry.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have done multiple weddings, proms, and pageants, but I have also don't Photo shoots as well as video shoots.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for an artist that can see your vision. When I was competing in pageants and I hired Makeup Artists, I found that they didn't share my vision and I didn't like the way I looked. So finding someone who is flexible and willing to help you achieve the look you want is the person you want to hire.
