Our approach is different from any other in the dog training community. We start with an in home evaluation, where we discuss what issues you would like to address, then we work with your dog a bit, then custom make a program for you. There is no pressure, and no obligation to buy. The big thing that sets us apart from other companies is we do all the initial training for you, right there in your own home. You get to watch your dog be trained, and then when it's your turn, you are starting with a dog who already knows what is expected, so you only have to learn how to keep up the training as opposed to figuring out how to train the dog yourself. We do both parts: Train the dog, then train you! We fully guarantee our obedience (i.e., we'll give you your money back if we can't train the obedience commands for some reason). We unfortunately can't guarantee behavoral problem fixes (because we can't guarantee owners will do what we say!), but with proper owner follow thru, we have an outstanding rate of success! We also have many other owners who have gone through our program that are willing to talk to you about their experience, and how the program worked for them.
I love seeing the overwhelming difference in both the dogs and the owners by the end of the program. I've seen dogs who were scared of their own shadow completely come around to being wonderful outgoing happy dogs. I've seen owners who were in tears with their dogs and ready to send them to the pound, now shed tears of joy because their dog is obeying. I love especially seeing children who were completely afraid of their own pet working their dog with huge smiles on their faces.

We have been working with Catherine owner of Cat's Canine Academy Dog Training and she is amazing. We have a Giant Schnauzer puppy and he was out of control. The first visit Cat made she had our Thor following and watching her like he was on a dog show. We could not believe it. Our puppy is close to 60 lbs at 6 months old and Catherine is working to teach my family how to handle him. Her methods work. We can now walk Thor down the street without being dragged. He still is excitable but we now we know (with Catherine's method) how to avert his attention to get him to follow our commands. With only a few lessons with her Thor can sit, heel, down, and come on command and he does it for us when she is not here. Cat's Canine Academy Dog Training is just wonderful. I can't say enough how pleased we are.

I would not have my dog if it wasn't for Cat. I picked out the cutest sheltie puppy, but she had many problems. The most serious problem is that she is highly reactive and wants to chase cars. Thanks to Cat I've learned to manage her behavior. I get compliments all the time on how well trained she is. I smile and gladly take the credit, but the true credit goes to Cat. It is so nice having a dog that listens. I say "sit" once and she does it. I love hiking with her because I can have her off leash and feel totally comfortable that she will listen to me. She's a very high energy dog so it was a huge help that Cat taught her how to walk on a treadmill too. I could go on and on. Cat is incredibly knowledgable, very professional and honest. Quite simply she is the best dog trainer out there.

Cat is incredible! I cannot recommend her highly enough. She has helped us with several adopted dogs as well as puppies. We like large dogs, and Cat has ensured that they are well trained in every circumstance. The in home training is a huge plus. She can see what the problems are in OUR HOME and worked with us to correct them, not only in the short term, but also in the long term. She is OUTSTANDING with the dogs, and VERY patient with the "human" side of the training. I took longer to train than my dog. If a problem developes after the initial training, she is right there to help out or come back out!
Your money will be well spent!!! You will have a trainer for life, and one who cares about you and your dog!!

Cat has trained 7 of my Dobermen. I now have 6 dogs and she has trained 5 of the ones I have now. Without her help I would not be able to have as many dogs as I do (4 are rescue dogs). Because of her excellent training my dogs are obedient and well behaved house dogs, easy for me to manage. Though I have moved from Houston, she still helps me out any time I have a problem. She's the best!!!!

Cat has trained two Giant Schnauzers, one Miniature Schnauzer and one Terrier mix for us over a span of ten years. The fact that we have had her train four dogs speaks to the quality of training our dogs and we, as the owners/handlers, have received. I don't think we would ever have gotten a second Giant Schnauzer if it wasn't for her helping us learn how to handle our first one and now we are hooked!!! I highly recommend her to anyone who wants his/her dog to be a well-behaved member of the family and is willing to put the time and energy into the training, not just initially but on an on-going basis. For our family, it was money well spent!
