Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. The most common fences we build are 1x4x6 cedar #2 grade fences. This is the mid-level prices fence that will last many years. The quality of wood and our screws are what our customers love, we also build several 1x6 with galvanized posts but recently the jot trend has been horizontal fencing. We've gotten a lot of positive feedback for our different horizontal fence designs
Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.
A. We've done a lot of fences that are typical but one thy has gotten a lot of attention is a 1.5' lattice on top trimmed with cedar. Many calls from neighbors and we started a new one in the same Kyle neighborhood. We do several horizontal/decorative type fences also. Bull panel is also a popular choice when you want a view but don't care for the "chainlink" look
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Compare all the details of your estimates. Some will itemize the bid and charge for tearing down the old fence, hauling it away then some charge a "rock charge" for digging the post holes. We include all of this in the price per linear foot. Check the BBB website to ensure you are considering a contractor that will do what they say they'll do.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Does the contractor communicate well, is he/she responsive to questions and inquiries? Do they offer simple or complicated pricing? What quality of material are they quoting? Do they include rock charges along with tear down & haul away with their fence quote? Are they insured and BBB Acredited?
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. To get a quick phone quote, have an idea of your linear footage. If you don't, I can stop by for an estimate.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Our service and quality is the best in the business. We use screws where others use nails to build the fence. Our screws won't loosen or rust in the elements as nails do. Our prices are the lowest in the market without sacrifcing quality. This is one time that you really get what you pay for = quality product at a reasonable price with a 1 year workmanship warranty on cedar fences. We are also accredited by the BBB, many others are not.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Interacting with customers is a lot of fun. We take our responsibilities serious when we are on their property and treat it like it was our own. It's satisfying building a high quality fence that the customer can enjoy many years to come and we both know they got a good deal.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. What is the difference with Home Depot or Lowe's picket compared to what I use? They have cedar pickets but are approximately 5/8" thick or less and we use a Western Red Cedar that is 3/4" thick. Ours is more durable and gives you a rich cedar color.
