I'll describe my experience and readers can decide for themselves if 1 start justified. Chris installed garage door opener (works fine). The opener he got for me came with wireless keypad and 2 remotes included with it, in the box. But in his quote Chris did not mention this, but just quoted me the price for the opener (full retail price) plus $35 for keypad plus $35 for extra remote. On top of that he told me he gets a 20% contractor discount, implying that he got me a good price. My mistake was not checking the price he quoted before agreeing to a quote. When I happened to check it on line I learned that the exact same model is sold on Amazon for $60 below his quote, with keypad and second remote included. Total = $130 he charged me for the opener above what I could have gotten it for from Amazon (with free shipping). In addition I paid $175 for installation. The work took 2.5 hrs. My conclusion: Chris is dishonest. But you draw your own conclusion.

We are disappointed that you were not satisfied with the experience you had. We try to make sure we understand exactly, what it is that our customers are wanting. We do our research and make sure all options are available, and we allow the customer to decide which options suit them best. In this case you were given a “good; better, best” scenario and you went with “better”. A formal written quote was given to this you in which she selected the "Better #2 option". We placed the order with the options for keypad, remote, etc. We picked up the materials from our supplier and went to the job site. During the middle of the installation process, Ms. Elena K. came out to the garage to take pictures of the barcode on the box and say’s that she could have gotten the door opener on Amazon cheaper? She wanted me to come inside and see the advertisement. I looked at the advertised price on Amazon and it was cheaper. However, if Ms. Elena K. wanted to research the products herself and get the best deal possible from Amazon she was certainly welcome to do so. We would have just charged her for the installation. I know that sometimes the ramifications of buying something off of the internet vs. buying it locally results in a huge difference in getting things warrantied and making sure all items are included in the box. As a small business owner we make a point to try to keep the money within our local community. Sometimes, it is harder to be at the best price point when there is so much pressure from the big box stores and online self-serve suppliers. If we felt we had done something less than what was agreed upon in writing, or otherwise, we would certainly be knocking on your door right now to make it right. However, you approved the estimate we sent and we fulfilled our end of the agreement which was to supply, and install the opener which you received and just previously stated it worked fine. Unfortunately, I believe this is a fact of life, many times in my life I myself have purchased something just to find it on sale a few days later. We will take note to look at our supplier costs to make sure we are getting the best possible deals we can get as a result of this review. Thank You for your comment. Chris Jernigan

We hired Chris to figure out an electrical issue in our home but did not realize he did "Everything". He Arrived on time as promised. He fixed are electrical problem for under $40. We then hired Chris to do a bunch of punch items before we sold our home. He helped us find a good realtor, mover, house cleaner and installed new hardwood floors, carpet, and replaced some rotten wood on the exterior and painted a few rooms. We did what the realtor said which is basically what Chris had recommended, and our house sold within 3 days and we got top dollar. Thank You Chris! Hope we can find a Chris in Lubbock? Chris is a very honest and great resource for whatever you need in your home.

Chris was great! He explained all of our options in detail to us and helped us with some of his own input. He showed up on time kept us updated when things changed. We now have a beautiful kitchen and bathroom that we have always wanted under or budget and before our deadline we set for him. Thank You for the bottle of wine Chris that was a nice touch!

Warning do not hire these guys! Overpriced! My neighbor found this guy and I regret not speaking up about how awful these guys are. Let alone they're rude and unprofessional! I will warn my neighbors and everyone I know who needs a new fence. Be a smart consumer and get more estimates!!

Electrical, plumbing, HVAC and lawn sprinkler work in Texas ALL require a licensed individual to perform the work. The law also requires the posting of those license numbers on all forms of advertising. Handy Man services are great but illegal when performing work for which they are not licensed.
