I have used CitiTurf for 3 years. They show up on time, charge a fair price, and always answer when I call. Not sure whatelse to say. I've been pleased.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Lawn mowing, fertilization, weed control, sprinkler repair, pest control, bush trimming, flower installations, mulch installs, and flower bed maintenance. We do a lot more than this... these are just the most common services that we preform every single day.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Look for a company that…
1) has a 100% money back guarantee in writing posted on their website (in writing)
2) has a multi-million general liability insurance policy to protect your family (than will be able to furnish a copy upon request)
3) only uses legal U.S. workers and/or verified workers in you U.S. under the H2B Visa program — otherwise, they cannot be back ground checked — protect your family

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. How incredibly important the employees are. We only hire and work with the very best. Our team is awesome. A team makes a company. Most who apply to work at CitiTurf do not get hired. The secret is the team.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Do you have a guarantee? And how do I know you will honor it? Have you ever honored it in the past?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Do you want the cheapest price or the best value for your money? They are two different things. Companies with the cheapest price can only afford to use the cheapest products, equipment, can't afford insurance, do not hire legal workers, can't afford to hire ethical workers and absolutely cannot hire the best and brightest employees.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Our team of people and their level of experience is exceptional. We work very hard to attract the very best people. And we consider ourselves very fortunate to get to work with an awesome group of people every day.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Exceptional work is a lot of work. It's a lot harder than just mowing yards. And some companies, like ourselves, take hiring legal high quality good honest works seriously, and are fully insured and licensed. And the really great lawn care companies train and train and train their employees to be really good at what they do. There are good lawn care companies — that take being good very seriously.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Started mowing lawns in the eight grade. Got out of the business, went to college... liked the business so much I got back in it.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Getting a management job won't teach you the business. Get out there and do the work — really understand the work and what it takes to do a great job. If you want to eventually manage a team you have to understand how hard the work is and what your team goes through in the field.
