A. Common jobs include :30 - :60 second commercials for a variety of products and business. Secondary loads of projects are corporate or industrial videos that range from 2-10 minutes in length. Others include music videos, documentaries, short films and more.
A. Always check their references. Look for demo reels that cover a wide variety of budgets. Some production houses use their very best. That is common and expected, but doesn't give you a good broad stroke of their capabilities. Also, they should be willing to educate you in the processes of their business. I ALWAYS give our clients a bit of an education on our processes. Having very clear expectations from both parties is crucial for delivering a quality product.
A. Our work stands out from others in our industry because we give the same consideration, time, creativity and work into small products as we do large projects. So many other companies restrict their quality bar to match the price point. ALL of our business has been referral from 2001. And our reputation precedes us. Being Emmy winning producers, directors, editors and cameramen we HAVE to live up to our reputation. Even our interns, who have been with us since the age of sixteen, are Emmy winners and Emmy nominees.
A. I LOVE my job. Not just like it. We get to become micro-experts in our clients' business. And we always have different types of business. From industrial, to commercial, to corporate, to direct response to television and documentaries - we enjoy learning all we can about our clients.
A. Oh...mery. What do I wish clients knew about my industry and business? Is that they add the perceived value of our services to their business model or needs. We get a lot of clients who think our video services are of very little value as an overall statement. We provide an education, provide analytics & metrics for results of our labor and other viability factors in which we reinforce why our business/industry is important.
A. I've been in the industry ever since I was 12 years old. I've been classically trained as an artist - pen & ink, pencil, water color. Mostly a conceptual illustrator that is very valuable in relating to our clients, ideas and storyboards. I then moved into still photography, then into motion picture film work. I eat, breath and bleed my industry.
A. All of our guys and gals continue to educate themselves in our industry. We are mostly certified in some way or the other in our trade. From Apple certification in Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, Apple Color, Apple Motion, almost all Adobe products - Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, After Effects and more.
A. Greatest strength would be film and hi-def video production. Defining our clients' ideas and visions into a tangible production has always been our strength in delivering an amazing product. We continue to create industry changing techniques and projects that get our peers unbridled recognition and validation.
A. We continue to strive to learn new techniques, challenge ourselves with new client projects, do things that is not in our comfort zone and ALWAYS seek out education in our industry. We are learning to reach out and network more often than we do now. Learning to do more in-person lectures, industry talks and forums as well as beginning to write blogs and white papers on what we do.
