Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Trust You gut, if the handyman has a nice attitude an seems to have knowledge on the task at hand. Then give him a chance. Ask questions before hand on process, how long, materials the service provider should be able to give you a ball park answer. If it all sounds resonable then its an easy choice. If something sounds sketchy then keep looking.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Watch for mark up on materials, its expected when the contractor has to buy in bulk, pay for shipping, and transport materials. But if Handyman is going to your local hardware store there should not be any mark-ups.
Also no free estimates, you will pay in the end.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Consumer should ask service professional about there experience in the specific field required. If provider is familiar with related job. Then consumer should be assured and confident in the abiltiy in the handyman they have chosen.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Customers should have a general idea of what services they need. Just keep in mind it is real difficult to give estimates on something service provider has not seen.
