Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. My advice to a customer looking for a skilled craftman is find how long they have been doing the type of work you're looking to have done and how long they have been in your area. The Austin area many businesses that spring up over night and disappear very shortly after that.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Price is important but you have to remember you do get what you pay for. If someone's price is much less than the competition you may not be getting what you pay for. Everyone can get materials at the same cost so the only way to lower the price of the project is by cutting corners and/or quality of the materials. Be sure you're comparing apples to apples.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Experience is the key to having your project done quickly and professionally. A sales person will tell you anything to get the sale so find out who they're sending to do the work. I've found you only see the sales person when the checkbook comes out.
