Fixing computers involves technical knowledge, tedious work and an idea of what happened to lead up to the problem. So, it is not necessarily something that requires a long time or a short time to fix, it is the skill that is important. So, the amount that a technician charges may seem too high for a couple of minutes of work, but it is well worth it, as long as there is some warranty given.
